Under this, all foreign players will have to register in the mega auction. If they do not register, they will not get entry into the mini-auction to be held later.

The BCCI has implemented stricter rules for the upcoming IPL season. Any player who withdraws from the tournament after being sold in the auction will face a two-season ban. Additionally, foreign players will have a salary cap of Rs 18 crore per season. This new rule will have a significant impact on the auction, as some of the highest-paid foreign players in the previous season, such as Mitchell Starc, who was sold for Rs 24.75 crore and Pat Cummins for Rs 20.50 crore, may be priced out of the market.
